Standing Up. Standing Out. Standing Together.
At SUSO, standing up for young people has always been at the heart of who we are. Through our Stand Up and Stand Out ethos, we’ve spent years working with schools and communities across the UK to encourage confidence, kindness, and individuality. Because we believe every young person deserves to feel valued, respected, and proud of who they are.
That’s why Anti-Bullying Week (10-14 November) is such an important moment for us. Organised by the Anti-Bullying Alliance, this year’s theme – Power for Good – reminds us that each of us has the ability to make a difference. Whether it’s speaking up for someone, standing beside a friend, or simply choosing kindness, we all hold the power to create positive change.
Celebrating What Makes Us Different
The week kicked off with Odd Socks Day – a fun, colourful reminder that our differences make us unique. In schools across the country, young people rocked odd socks to show that being yourself is something to celebrate.
But Anti-Bullying Week isn’t just about one week of action – it’s about building lasting confidence and kindness that carry through the year. Because bullying doesn’t stop when the week ends. And neither does our support.
Power for Good: What It Means to Us
This year, we continue to champion confidence, kindness, and individuality among young people – encouraging everyone to use their voices and actions to lift others up. Whether in schools, communities, or online spaces, we’re proud to support the message that being yourself and standing up for others truly is a power for good.
We believe that giving young people the confidence to be themselves – and the courage to stand up for others – is one of the most powerful lessons they can learn. And when that message is shared widely, it creates a ripple effect that reaches far beyond the classroom.

More Than a Campaign
For us, Anti-Bullying Week isn’t just another calendar date. It’s a cause we believe in every day. When young people feel safe, seen, and supported, they can focus on being themselves – creative, confident, and unstoppable.
So, this week, let’s make some noise about kindness. Let’s stand tall, stand proud, and stand together. Because when we do, we all have the Power for Good.
